SID Translator

SID Translator is a simple utility for conversion of MS Windows account name into its security identifier (SID) and vice versa. It translates user, group or computer account names or SIDs. Just enter an account name or a SID in the appropriate field and click the “Translate” button.

The account names should have one of the following forms:

• mydomain\budar (domain user account)
• name@domain.com (domain user account)
• mycomputer\localaccount (local user account)
• mydomain\group (domain group account)
• builtin\users (built-in local group)
• mydomain\myserver$ (domain computer account)

Requirements

• Windows 2003 Server
  or
• Windows XP with .NET Framework 1.1 installed
  or
• Windows 2000 with .NET Framework 1.1 installed
